ESSEX – NDP MPP Taras Natyshak has been appointed to a key role in the Official Opposition by NDP Leader Andrea Horwath, where he will be focused on the need to create and improve jobs so people can make it to the other side of this pandemic, and to rebuild our economy and job markets in the recovery.
Natyshak takes on the role of Official Opposition critic for Job Creation and Economic Recovery, where he will lead the fight for a Save Main Street plan that will help small business owners and their workers that have been hit hard by the pandemic, and help them come back stronger and more secure. Natyshak also retains his role as NDP critic for Ethics and Accountability.
“I am looking forward to working in my new role as the critic for jobs and economic recovery. The government has a critical role to play to get our economy working for Ontario families. Even before the pandemic, too many Ontarians were being left behind in the Doug Ford economy,” said Natyshak.
“Workers across this province need new, good jobs with benefits and pensions to support their families, and a government that will stand up for them. In this new role I will be holding this government accountable and along with my Ontario NDP colleagues building a plan to rebuild our economy, in the aftermath of the COVID-19, to make it stronger and more inclusive than ever.”
